header_2_line_height_last_edited=&#8221;on|phone&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.itama-mobility.com\/en\/updates-talent-passport-european-blue-card\/\">Following the European directive signed on October 20, 2021<\/a>, member states have until November 2023 to change their skilled immigration policy.<\/p>\n<p>Germany has adopted a new immigration law. It brings significant changes for workers and employers, in particular concerning the &#8220;European Blue Card&#8221; talent passport.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>EU Blue Card in Germany:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The salary threshold for the European Blue Card has been lowered to \u20ac43,800 gross per year (instead of \u20ac58,400).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recognition of qualifications in Germany:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Recognition of diplomas will no longer be required if the applicant :<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>can provide proof of a minimum of 2 years&#8217; professional experience.<\/li>\n<li>holds a university degree recognised by the state in their country of origin.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>However, a minimum salary of \u20ac43,800 will be required, without which recognition of the professional diploma will remain compulsory. In addition, it will be possible for an employee to hold a job even if it does not correspond exactly to their initial qualification, without a specific university degree being required.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>German green card \/ Chancenkarte :<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Firstly, a &#8220;German green card&#8221; (&#8220;Chancenkarte&#8221;) will be created. Similar to the Canadian model, applicants selected with a minimum score of six points (based on qualifications, age, language skills and previous stay in Germany) can stay for one year without a work contract, while waiting to find a job.
